※翌73年、デビッド君とサーカンプ君、再びバンド結成目論む。サフロン氏と仲間が再び寄ってきて、結局「アニマ」バンドの再結成に。狭い世界だ。バンド名変更「パブロフス・ドッグ・アンド・ザ・コンディションド・レフリックス・ソウル・レビュー・アンド・コンサート・クワイア」。長過ぎ。売れる気があるのかー。若いってすてき。
※ブルース中心のレパートリーからオリジナル勝負に。しかーし。ソウル・バンドと思われて（そりゃそうだ）、ライブで総すかん。諦めず、ＲＥＯスピードワゴンにいたとゆうギタリスト、スティーブ・スコーフィナ氏引き抜き、鍵盤のデビッド・ハミルトン氏、フルートのダグ・レイバーン氏加えて頑張る。有望バンドだって騙して誘ったのだと。

アンディ・マッケイ氏も！。ブレッカー・ブラザースのマイケル・ブレッカーさん。しかして、このパフロフの犬ちゃんバンドは、プログレなのでしょうか。これがまた微妙。問題の御仁はフロントマンのデビッド君だ。４歳のころ、ぜんそくで死に掛けたとゆう彼は少年期、長いことアリゾナのインディアン居留地にある病院で療養生活を送ったとゆうことで。そこで聞いたネイティブ・アメリカンの歌に強烈な影響を受けて、その時読んだ神話やファンタジーの本と共に独自の個性を。針を落とさば仰天のハイトーン・ヴォイスが。女人とも間違う、違うレコかけたのかとびびるほど。メロトロンの妙なる響きに導かれて始まる「シー・ケイム・シャイニング」、曲はもしちょっとした機会があらばヒットしたんじゃないかってフォーク風味。ビルさんがこんなまともなドラム叩いてるの聴いたことなし。そのままちょっと歪んだ歌に身を浸していると次第にマッケイ氏のぷっぷくぷーサックスが乱入してきたり、ロクシーの影が。喜ぶ。そうなるとスプリット・エンズか。そういえばボーカル・スタイルが似てる。セントルイスとイギリスと豪州がない交ぜになってからに、終盤、そのまま大プログレ大会で大団円に向かう様壮絶です。ビル氏も大爆発。未来世界の光景にも突入。
鬼っ子であることは間違い無いかと。誰がアレンジ、サウンド・プロダクションしたのだろう。この恐るべき個性に対してどうやったらいいか。誰も彼も判然とせぬまま混交とした様が何より魅力的です。これが７５年かって時代の訳わかんないのも。誰が聞いても気に入られるって音楽じゃ無いなきっと。それは相当やばい覚悟のものだ。私はと言えば・・・何回も何回も折につけて聴き、喜ぶ。大切です。
