の３曲を含むハリケーン・スミス氏、７２年の唯一のアルバムです。長い間探してました。年の瀬も押し迫って思いがけなくボロボロのＬＰゲット。聴けばもうツボ、良くて良くて今年のベスト３入りだがや。去年のジェスロ・タル「クリスマス・アルバム」といい、この点だけは何故かツイてるとゆう。何とか感謝したいなあと駄目元でアマゾン調べてみたら、うわＣＤが出ているでは無いですか。しかもうち一枚は日本盤。凄い国だ。えー、誰だこの親父は・・・、ジョージ・マーティン氏の元でビートルズのエンジニアを務めた人であり、ピンク・フロイド初期作のプロデューサー、他にバークレイ・ジェイムス・ハーヴェストとかの製作も、そして自らも４８歳になんなんとする７１年にデビュー、３曲の母国英国でのヒットと１曲の最高位３位の米国ヒットを出した人です。その音楽は上記プロデュース作からすりゃプログレてるかと思いきやぎっちょんちょん、まるで違うノスタルジア・ミュージック。ノスタルジアっつうかうーんと時代を超えてると言いますか、そうだビートルズの「ロッキー・ラクーン」、「ウェナイ６４」のポールちゃんのあの部分をほんとの親父がやったと。同期ギルバート・オサリバン氏の音楽をその時代を過ごしたほんとの親父がやったとゆう感じです。実際、完璧シングルの１曲「フー・ワズ・イット？」はオサリバン氏「バック・トゥ・フロント」アルバム
