*ご贔屓のバンドがいて、レコード屋さんで見たこと無いＣＤを発見、怖いけど買ってしまう訳だ。で、家に帰って聴いてみたら「あなた誰？」みたいな経験をしたことがおありですか？遭遇してしまいました。ケチ＆貧乏、従ってど慎重なものでよく確かめもせずＣＤを買うことはほとんど無く。でもスレイド、スイートは店にいきゃあ必ずチェックする「Ｓ］の棚。躊躇して逃すと悶えちゃうから買っちゃいます。で、聴いてみたら「誰？」。しかし曲は「アクション」、コーラスはあの天使の歌声だし。ヴォーカルが違うのだ。１９８９年のスイートの「ライブ・アット・ザ・マーキー」。再結成時のライブだそうです。破竹の進撃の７０’ｓも、恐ろしきは時の流れ、ヒットが出なくなりますとどうしてもバンドの状態も芳しくなくなってしまうのはこれはいたしかたがないことかと。７９年にリード・シンガー、ブライアン・コノリー氏が脱退。一挙に窮地に。残りのメンバーで粘るも８２年で力尽き。ところがどっこい為して来た黄金曲の力は不滅、８５年にかっての名曲をメドレー仕立てにしたベスト盤が出たらこれが大ヒット。きっかけにして再結成、わーいとなれば良かったんだけど、これがまたよりによってコノリー氏はコノリー氏で８５年に新しいスイートを、ギターのアンディ・スコット氏はドラムのミック・タッカーちゃんを誘って８６年にスイートを始めてしまったよ。元祖対本家の戦いかー。商売だけだったらすんなり割り切って一緒にやるのが一番だと誰でも思うけどやっぱ人間だからなあ色々あるんだろな。で、このライブはアンディ・スイートのその時のライブ・ツアー、英国の老舗クラブ「マーキー」での公演の模様を納めたものとゆうことで。問題のリード・ボーカルはモア
とゆうヘビメタ・バンドにいましたポール・マリオ・デイさん。デビッド・カバーデイル氏のように唸り、イアン・ギラン氏のように叫ぶ男。実はパープル・ファミリーだったかってくらい紫調ハードロックがやりたくてしょうがなかったスイートにとって、もしかしたら最高にうってつけの人材かもしれぬと思う。実際えらいこっちゃな演奏だ。ブランクなんのその、元々演奏力は折紙付、鬼神のごとく突進するあの曲この曲。当然初期のかわゆいＰＯＰ曲は無し。やってくれても面白かったのにー(^0^)。「おういーーー〜〜〜」のスクリームと共にヘヴィ＆ハードのスイート、支持。理由も何もこの名演だから。支持。この生生な音質、これぞライブな音も大吉。燃えるぜ。出た「フォックス・オン・ザ・ラン」。わー。ラストの「恋は酸素」のリプライズ！ロック芸人ショーのど根性見たり。

に変わっても後ろで支えるメンバーは不動。一生懸命気合満点なら見ちゃいます。さて問題は１２．以降。同メンバーでの新録音が４曲なんですけど、これは・・・・困った。フィルムがビデオになって脚本も変わってしまったよーって感じ。ここで本気で「貴方達誰？」って気分に。新たな気持ちでこの音を受け入れられればいいんだけど。私は困ってしまいました。とても寂しい。しかし１１．までで名盤。決定！。
