マイケル・シェンカー神週間だぞ。聴きたいなあと思ったら中古レコ棚に先だって出現した。２枚。黙示録とこの「神話」。重ね重ね申しますが、こうゆうところだけは滅茶苦茶ツイております。その分、滅茶苦茶別のとこでひどい目に会ってるよー。神様、神様の音楽聴き倒しますからどーかひとつ別なところもよろしく。

当然、まず「神話」です。当然つう語の中にはリリース順以上に色んな意味を込めて「当然」。小生、気取っても取り返しつかんか、オラ初めてマジで聴いてるんだよＭＳＧのアルバム。８１年といやあなんつたってＮＷの名盤当たり年、ピー・ガブさんにＸＴＣ、ヘッズにジャパン、他にも仰山、わーわー言いながら熱狂してました。そしたらせっかくのメタルきんきらりんの時期を見事通過してしもたのだ。重ね重ね言うが己のバンドでは半メタルやっておきながら。今こうして出会い、毎日、アホのごとく聴き倒しています。当時聴かなかったことにいささかの後悔無し。この歳になってさ、新しい音楽の魅力に開眼、夢中になれるとは何て幸せなことじゃい。ジョーよう。去年のフィリー・ソウル開眼もそうだけど、今まで当たり前のように存在してただけに、「ああそうメタルね」とサラっと流してしまうことは、ままあることで。音楽は関係ある人にはものすごーく関係有るけど関係ない人にはまるで関係ないもんだわ。
すんばらしいアルバムです。
ここにはゲート・エコー・ドラムもデジタル・シンセもサンプラーひゃんも一切無し。脈々と培われた人力ロックはこうしたメタルで花を開いたのか８０’ｓ。マイケル・シェンカー・グループつうからギターだけ花盛りと思たら、有らず、バンドの音楽としてこれほど極まっているのはござらぬ。３０年のロック聴取人生を賭けて断言いたす所存。一家に一枚。まず取っ掛かりはと選ばば瞬時にこのジャンルに大突入でき得ります。故にメタルつうジャンルを飛び越えてロックそのものの名盤だぜや。
バンド・サウンドで最高と申しても、何はともあれ、マイケル・シェンカーさん。
このコンバットに登場するドイツ人将校のような風貌をした兄さん。とてつもなき才能かし。丁度この８１年の８月に来日したそうです。同時にレインボー４度目の来日も。で、ドラマー、コージー”爆音親父”パウエルさんはこちらにいる。六本木のデスコでお互い出会い殴り合いの親交を暖めたか。は、さておき、リッチー親分の言が有り（ｆｒｏｍ日本盤ライナーｏｆあの東郷かおる子さん、親は何故「かおる」の上に、下にか、「子」をつけたか聞いてみたい）、
「メロディの有る良いギタリスト」。
さすが御大。そのとーりだぜ。シェンカー氏はギターを弾かずに歌わせてます。そしてギターを歌わせることの出来る男は歌も歌わせることが出来る。この味の素晴らしさはいまや私の中でオーリアンズのジョン・ホール、ラリー・ホッペン両氏に匹敵する存在になってま。こりゃえらいこったい。しかもさすがドイツ人。ストイックさは血かの。ギターは泣き、歌は泣いても、いやらしさなど微塵も無きワンダフルなバランス感覚。であるからして大ヒットに無縁だったのかもしれませんが、それでも
全米アルバムチャート最高位８１位
全英アルバムチャート最高位１４位だぜ。無視することなど当然出来まい。我が日本ではとんでもなき存在らしいすね。「神」だもんな。他に神つうたらあの人ぐらいだもんな。「神」って呼んで熱狂せざる理由わかるような気がします。一旦聴いたらもうその底知れぬ魅力に、人知を超えた何かをぐわ。

ヴォーカルはやっぱりゲイリー・バーデン胸毛さん。何と言ってもはまる。シェンカー氏と手が合うとしか。ってまだ３枚しか聴いて無いけど(^_^;)。あの方よりは。
