何故かって言われても。何でや？知らん。
いつからって言われても。いつからや？知らん。
とにかく好きでございます。これは病。
だから当然、それやってくれる歌は無条件で好きなのだ。そうなのだ。
それでコイツはその中でもドンピシャ。
出てきた時は、ひゃっほーって叫んだね。もしくは先を越された。
やりやがったなてなもんで。かっくん。ばこんソイツらの名前は

ザ・プリミティヴズ



１９８５年にイギリスはコヴェントリーで結成されたちんぴらインディー・バンドだ。
突然出てきやがって
ま、定期的に虫みたいに発生するのだが
いつの頃からかこうゆうコケ＆ティッシュ女性ヴォーカル・ビート・バンド。
起源はラモーンズだな。
起源はブロンディかいな。
ハッピー・バースデイのクレアちゃんとか
新しいとこではカーデガンズとか
同キャラで
囁くのだ。歌うときに。
ま、ハースデイズはアホでＮＷだし
カーデガンズは教養と知性があるのよーだろうが
プリズは野球で言えば昔の日本ハムファイターズ。
センター前ヒットセンター前ヒットセンター前ヒットホームラン無し。
競馬で言えば

逃げ馬

で、ツインターボとかローエングリンとか、行くだけ行きやがれあとは野となれ山となれってか。
いいじゃないかそれでも。
前がいなきゃ後ろはいないんだよ。

フォーク・ロックと申します。
して妙なるメロとポップで、これは”クラッシュ”のＢ側に鎮座する２大だと思うます。
キャンキャン言うところがすき。

はっきり小ネタですがな、そんなしゅっちゅう全速で逃げられるかってなもんで。
これはゴール前で見事にタれるが、それが嫌なら逃げ馬ば買えない。

全然痛くなし。
ましてや当時、これ聴いた後、よっしゃこれで行くべえと私らは己のバンドをこの路線にして
それで一発もヒットが出なかったって
どうしてくれるのだ。
悪いのかこれ？
悪く無いだろ。

マイケルだけど女子の方が作った関西フォーク。

毎週金曜日は「べすとヒット８０’ｓ」と称して１９８１年よりの英国チャートよりナイスな８０’ｓのシングルについて感謝させて貰ってます。
が
が
今週は特別編。この男について解決しとかねばならぬ。
８１年の席巻したその人は

ミッジ・ユーロ氏。

タイガース＆ホーセズすなわちトラウマとなってるウルトラヴォックス事件の張本人。
ウルトラヴォックスは１９７４年に結成されたハイパーウルトラなイギリスのバンドです。フロントマンは狐目の男ジョン・フォックス氏。
何は無くともフォックス氏。彼のコブシに伴うメロディそして歌声がサウンドを呼び曲を呼んだ。しかし不運なことに全く売れず。
「システム・オブ・ロマンス」とゆう３枚目の決定盤を出して、フォックス氏はバンドを去りました。
盟友ギタリスト、ロビン・サイモン氏と共に。その原因のほんとのとこは知りません。仲違いか発展的解消か。
いずれにしても残されたメンバー達は、せっかくもしかしてのとこまで来たのに何で？？との思い強かったと思え、
この音はフォックス氏だけで作ったのでは無いとの意地もあり、路頭に迷ってしまうでは無いか家で泣いてる妻と子供（？）のこともあり。
そのままのバンド名で再起しました。
まさかと思ったのはこちらで。フォックス氏抜きでかよーって。初めてその実態を聴いたのはＴＶＣＭでかと。
聴いてなおマジかよー。まんまじゃんかよー。いいのかよー。若き血が煮えたぎる。
以来、フォックス氏のウルトラヴォックスを元祖ウルトラヴォックス、もしくはウルトラヴォックス！、
再起のを髭ウルトラヴォックスとして区別し揶揄してまいりましたが、最近様々な事象を知るにつれその感情も変化してまいりました。
再起ＵＶの魚の骨がノドにつっかかるのを巻き起こしたミッジ・ユーロ氏についての５０の事柄。
だいたい名前の正式な発音が今に至るまで納得出来ず。Midge Ure。ユーロでいいのか。ウーレとかアーとかじゃないんか。
誰か教えてくれ。もしかするとテッド・ナジェント氏、ロリー・ギャラギハー氏化してるかもしれないじゃないかー？？
ミッジ氏の音楽人生は４番代打人生です。
クラウンライター・ライオンズでゆうと竹之内氏とか長谷川氏とか、巨人で言いますと柳田氏とかえーとあと一人いらしたな。
最初のバンドはスリックとゆうアイドル・バンドで。



それもあとから誘われたメンバー。バンドもベイ・シティ・ローラーズがアメリカに行っちゃった間の７６年の１月に「フォーエヴァー・アンドエヴァー」



で１位獲得したとゆう。寂しいから代わりはいないかって。モロ・ローラーズです。バックの音は本家のをスピード落として使ったとの噂有り。
「デディケイション」かな？
それで１位です。熱狂的ローラーズ・ファンの顰蹙を買ったに違いあるまい。何でもいいのかーって。
そして次は、パンクの時代。セックス・ピストルズを抜けたベースのグレン・マトロック氏が俺の実力はこんなもんじゃいと結成した
リッチ・キッズで。



メイン・ヴォーカルとギター。
これまたヒットした。だっていいんだもん。ミッジ氏の存在を私が初めて知ったのもこのバンドでした。



何とも愛嬌の有るＰＯＰな声で。いやもう大好きに。
そしたらすぐ解散しちゃった。

どこへ行ったのミッジーと思ったら次に出てきたのは、シン・リジー。
ブラック・ローズのあとのもう一人ギタリスト空白期間に代打で。
今回、ユー・チューブにてその映像発見。嬉々としてゲイリー・ムーアちゃんの代わりをギターパクでやっとるで。



ゲイリーさんの代わりでっせ。顰蹙買います。おいおい。リジー・ラスト・ライブにも唯一呼ばれなかった歴代ギタリストに。

ウルトラヴォックスで登場。



なんでやねん。軽薄極まりないよー。むー。
前記の通り頭に来てたんで、アルバム

ヴィエナ



はずっと買わなかったよ。買わなくてもシングルが売れたんで自然に耳に入ってきたもん。ヴィエなー！！
先日やっと思い切って入手して聴きました。
えー仕事してまんのや。まったく。
バンドのみんなも、ミッジ氏も。ミッジちゃんはよく聴きますと基本は変わっておらず。歌い方も無理してフォックス氏真似てないし。
相変わらず愛嬌の有る歌声で。
ただし、ギターは・・・これは・・・、バンド側の要請も有ったか、もろロビン・サイモン氏©のあのリズム・カッティングに音色にフレーズ。
昔からカチンと来てたのはむしろこっちの方かもしれぬ。
フォックス氏の方は超然としたもので、自らの姿勢いささかも崩さずソロになり、あっと驚く展開の１ｓｔ、俺がＵＶだったんだ、しかも発展形のの２ｎｄ出しました。
２ｎｄではサイモン氏と共に。
Ｂ面１曲目「ミスターＸ」のネタは、元祖時代だった模様で、同じものをフォックス氏もソロ「タッチ・アンド・ゴー」曲でやってます。
その勝負の決着だけは、そりゃもうＦ氏の勝ち。メロディ張り付いてる。
ソロでフォックス氏もようやく成功しましたが、しかし、なんつうことか髭ＵＶの方が圧倒的に売れました。



だって、こっちはこっちで、えー仕事しとまんのや。製作のコニー・プランク氏も。
あんまりにもはまったんで洒落みたいになっちまってるほど。

フォックス氏の歌声には狐怨霊がとりついてます。だからこその恐ろしい魅力ですけど、だからこそ怖くて売れなかったってのもあるか。
ミッジ氏の声にはそれが無し。かわゆい有り。髭のくせに。
それで、売れてフォックスちゃんも許容されて売れたのかもとか、今になっては思い。

それで
ミッジ君が、晴れて大スターになったかとゆうと・・・・・それほどでも無いような。
４番代打の男の悲劇で有ります。
きっと、声と同じくいつも一生懸命で、性格温厚、頼まれれば嫌と言えない人だったに違いなし。
でいつも期待以上の仕事をしてくれる。

なお、同時にお手伝いしてた、これまたＵＶモロ弟子のユニット、ヴィサージュ。



こちらは洒落全面ですから、真似しててもいささかも抵抗有りません。
しかもマガジンとウルトラヴォックス夢の合体。
もしかすると不可能を可能にしてくれた人なのかもしれん。

お金持ちさんいらっしゃあい第２回です。

本日のゲストは、ガゼボさん。

昨日のゲスト、チャーさんとは比べてはいけません。
こちらは正反対、金を湯水のように使い、女子をあまた騙し泣かしの薄ら馬鹿お坊ちゃまキャラの模様です。
１９６０年２月１８日レバノンのベイルート生まれ。うお、俺と同じ歳じゃん。しかし学年は上だな、先輩。
ファルコ、タコと並び８０’ｓ３大一文字男と呼ばれてます。本名はパウロ・マゾリーニ・デル・ガゼボ。
父は資産家のイタリア人外交官、母はアメリカ人歌手。うーんセレブ。幼少の頃からガゼ坊ガゼ坊と呼ばれガゼボになったらしい。
１０歳の頃同じ学校の女子を好いてその子がギターが好きで、気を引くため自分もやり始めたとな。それを見て喜んだのが母ちゃん。
この子は天才だと思い込み１６才にてパリの有名学校に入れたぞ。
そしたらこの薄ら馬鹿、失礼、ガゼボくんは授業＆宿題についていく気さらさら無くロックなんぞに夢中になりおってパンクになっちまった。
親の心親知らず。そもそも金持ちのクセにクンパになろうって根性が曲がってる。あ、いたかそうゆうひと。特に名は秘す。
そんなこんなで知り合ったのがミュージシャン／作曲家のピエール・ルイジ・ジオムビーニとゆう人。
